Next comes the verse, which is somewhat longer, as it repeats the second musical line until reaching a more conclusive ending. After this section, the chorus is sung again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for the tempo, it is a song of medium speed, rather slow, which contributes to conveying a melancholic air characteristic of this type of composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text is entirely secular and deals with courtly love, or even unrequited love: the speaker expresses to his beloved the sadness he feels at not being able to see her again, as well as the pain caused by the deep love he feels for her.
